Why teachers use these
Why Ohio teachers use these
Ohio teachers have spent recent years rebuilding literacy instruction around the science of reading while still owing an English II end-of-course exam and a Third Grade Reading Guarantee decision. That rebuild eats planning periods. A complete unit hands you the slide deck, four levels of practice and the answer key in one file, so the hours left go to small-group instruction and to the evidence your evaluator actually wants to see.
What's covered
What each Ohio download includes
You get the whole teaching sequence, not a worksheet that still needs a lesson built around it.
- Worksheets on four reading levels
- Editable PowerPoint slide deck
- Complete answer keys
- Lesson plan with pacing
- Print and digital versions
Make it work for everyone
Tiered practice and progress evidence
The four levels let you keep a whole class on the same text or problem set while the support the page provides changes. Collected work makes a clean data point for your building's Ohio Improvement Process cycle and for the intervention conversation about a student who is close to, but not yet at, grade-level reading.
Good to know
Frequently asked questions
Are these aligned to Ohio's Learning Standards?
They are not endorsed by or affiliated with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. Units are written to the concepts and skills Ohio's Learning Standards cover, which is why they slot into most district courses of study. Because everything is editable, you can drop the standard code your building uses onto the header.
Will these help with Ohio's State Tests or an end-of-course exam?
Indirectly, and that is the honest answer. There is no released-item test bank here. What you get is content practice at four levels plus extended response tasks, which builds the reading stamina and written reasoning the OST and the English II exam both reward far more reliably than a week of test drills in April.
Can my grade-level team share one purchase?
A purchase covers the buying teacher's own classroom, across every section and every school year. It does not cover a whole team or building, so each teacher on a grade-level team needs their own copy. Files download immediately after checkout, so nobody waits on a purchase order to start planning.
