Quick answer

For homeschool algebra across several years, the Complete Algebra Bundle ($129.99) contains all 10 algebra workbooks for Grades 5–12, from expressions and ratio through equations, linear functions and systems, quadratics and function transformations, plus two warm-up sets. The parts cost $199.90 separately. It covers algebra only, is not a full math course for any grade, and makes no claim about meeting state homeschool requirements or earning credit.

The real problem

Planning algebra years ahead at home

Homeschool math planning has a long horizon. A parent choosing materials for an 11-year-old is also, quietly, choosing the path toward high school algebra. Switch publishers every year and the notation, the methods and the way problems are explained all change. Children notice. A method for solving equations learned at 12 can look completely different in a new book at 14, and the student starts to think they never understood it. Families with more than one child face the other side of this. The oldest moves to linear functions while the youngest is still learning what a variable is. Buying separate programs for each child adds up, and so does keeping track of which book is for whom. There is also the confidence question. Many parents are comfortable with arithmetic and early algebra but less sure once systems of equations and quadratics arrive. Having the later workbooks on hand early lets you read ahead and see where the path leads, so the harder years do not come as a surprise.

Why it fits

How the bundle works for a homeschool family

One purchase covers the algebra path from early expressions to function transformations.

  • Ten workbooks follow algebra from expressions in the upper elementary years to transformations in high school.
  • Siblings at different stages can each work in a different workbook from the same set.
  • Two warm-up sets give short daily practice that suits a homeschool morning routine.
  • The linear functions workbook includes a glossary, word problems and a quiz with answer key.
  • Files stay in your customer account, so you can download them again when the next child is ready.
  • Buying all 10 together saves $69.91 compared with purchasing each workbook individually.

Getting started

How to start this school year

Suggestions for the first weeks. Every family's pace is different, and the bundle has no built-in calendar.

  1. Find each child's starting pointLook through the foundations workbooks and try a few problems with each child. Start them where most problems feel manageable but not trivial. Give it a few days before you settle.
  2. Set a daily warm-upOpen each math session with a page from a warm-up set. Five or ten minutes of expressions and variables builds fluency without a long lesson.
  3. Work one workbook at a timeLet each child finish one workbook before starting the next. A clear finish line helps motivation, and you can spot weak areas before moving on.
  4. Read ahead one levelSkim the next workbook your oldest child will reach, so you are comfortable with the methods before you need to explain them. Work a few problems too.
  5. Keep a simple progress logNote which workbook each child completed and when. Over several years this record is useful for your own planning and for any reporting your situation requires.

What to buy

Full bundle or a smaller start

If you have children who will move through algebra over several years, the Complete Algebra Bundle at $129.99 covers the whole path and costs less than the ten parts at $199.90. If you only need short daily practice for a 10- to 13-year-old, the Algebra Warm-Ups & Bell Ringers Bundle ($29.99) is a smaller starting point. Younger children in Grades 1–4 are better served by the Elementary Math Practice & Warm-Up Bundle ($34.99), which has seven practice packs plus warm-ups.

Honest limits

What a homeschool family should check

These are algebra workbooks only; geometry, statistics and other math your children need come from elsewhere, and no single grade is fully covered. The bundle makes no claim to meet your state's homeschool law, count for credit, or satisfy transcript or accreditation needs; check those yourself. You set the pace, check the work and decide when to move on. Use in a co-op or with other families needs a short message to Teach Lessons first. Within 7 days you can exchange it for store credit of equal value, not cash.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

Does this bundle satisfy my state's homeschool or credit requirements?

No such claim is made, and no standard alignment or endorsement is claimed. The workbooks are written for grade bands from 5 to 12. Whether they meet your state's rules, an umbrella school's expectations or any credit decision is something you check yourself. Keeping your own record of completed workbooks can help if you need to show what your children studied.

Is this a full homeschool math program?

No. It is 10 algebra workbooks. Geometry, measurement, statistics and other topics are not included, so pair it with other materials for a full math year. Many families use the algebra workbooks as the steady thread and choose other resources for geometry and data. The Elementary Math Practice & Warm-Up Bundle covers number work for younger children in Grades 1–4.

Can all my children use the same bundle?

Using it with your own children in your own homeschool is using it in your own teaching. If you want to use it with other families or in a co-op class, message Teach Lessons first. Each child can work in a different workbook at the same time.

At what age should we start?

The bundle is written for Grades 5–12. The foundations workbooks and warm-up sets on expressions and variables are the natural entry points. Look at the previews on the product page to judge where your child should begin. Children who are confident with arithmetic usually start more smoothly.

Will I still have the files in a few years?

The files are available in your customer account under Orders after purchase, so you can download them again later. It is still wise to keep your own copy saved. A folder per child, holding the workbooks they have finished and the ones still ahead, makes planning the next year much quicker.

What if it does not suit our family?

Within 7 days of purchase you can exchange it for store credit of equal value. It is not a cash refund. Look at the previews of several workbooks on the product page before buying, especially the ones your oldest child would use first. Credit can go toward another product, for example the Algebra Warm-Ups & Bell Ringers Bundle.
