Sell your teaching resources with TeachLessons
Keep 70% of every sale after a 3% payment cost, pay nothing to join, and keep selling your resources wherever else you already sell them.
What the program is
TeachLessons is an online store for English-language teaching resources, used by teachers in the US, the UK and Australia. The seller program lets teacher-authors list their own resources in the store and earn a share of every sale.
You keep 70% of net revenue and TeachLessons keeps 30%. Net revenue is the price the customer actually paid for your resource, after any discount and without sales tax or VAT, minus a payment processing cost of 3%. Nothing else comes off. There is no yearly charge, no fee to list a resource and no fee per sale.
We don't ask for exclusivity. Your resources can stay in your own shop and on other marketplaces. You keep your copyright and you can take a resource down whenever you want. If you'd like to start right away, the submission form takes a few minutes.
70% of net revenue
Your payout is 67.9% of the sale price once the 3% payment cost is taken out. On a $20 resource that is $13.58.
No fees at all
No membership fee, no annual fee, no sign-up fee and no per-resource transaction fee.
No exclusivity
We take a non-exclusive license. Sell the same resource anywhere else you are allowed to.
Free SEO work
We write or improve the title, description, FAQ and structured data for each accepted resource.
Featured placement
Seller resources appear on landing pages, in related Teacher Hub blog articles and in a seller spotlight.
Monthly payouts
You are paid each month for the previous month's sales, with a statement that lists every sale.
How the money works
Take a $10 resource. The 3% payment cost is 30 cents, which leaves a net of $9.70. You get 70% of that, which is $6.79, and TeachLessons keeps $2.91. A $3 resource pays you $2.04, and a $50 bundle pays you $33.95. The same math works at any price, and the seller payout calculator lets you try your own numbers.
If a customer gets a refund, that sale is reversed and there is no payout for it. Payouts arrive monthly and cover the previous calendar month, with a statement so you can check each line. The key terms page covers the rest in plain language, and our article on how the 70/30 split works explains why the payment cost comes off before the split.
How it works in 4 steps
- Send your resources. Fill in the submission form with the resources you want to list and a few details about you as the author.
- We review them. Our team checks quality, originality and rights, then replies by email. Not every resource is accepted, and we tell you why if one isn't.
- We prepare the listing. We write or improve the product title, description, FAQ and structured data, agree the price with you, and set up your author profile. You approve the rewritten copy.
- You get paid monthly. Each month you receive your payout for the previous month's sales, along with a statement listing each sale.
Who the program is for
The program is for teacher-authors who wrote their own resources and are free to sell them in more than one place. Where you sell today doesn't matter much. These are the situations we see most often.
- You already sell on other marketplaces. A listing with us adds a second channel next to the ones you have. Nothing about your existing stores has to change. Our page on adding a second sales channel walks through it.
- You run your own shop. If you sell from your own website, TeachLessons puts the same resources in front of another group of teachers, and we handle checkout, delivery and the listing copy.
- You haven't sold anywhere yet. Maybe you have years of worksheets, units and slide decks you made for your own classes. You don't need a sales history to apply. You need resources you wrote and the right to sell them.
- You write for UK or Australian classrooms. Resources built for those curricula are welcome, and the same split and payouts apply.
Who the program is not for
If you have signed an exclusivity agreement for certain resources, with any platform, publisher or school, those resources can't be listed with us. Please honor the agreements you have made. We would never ask you to break one, and we won't accept resources you have agreed to sell only somewhere else.
Resources that fall outside such an agreement are a different matter, but read the agreement itself to see what it covers. Our article on what to check in an exclusivity clause lists useful questions. The program also isn't a fit for material you didn't create or don't hold the rights to, such as a colleague's worksheets or a resource built on clip art whose license rules out resale.
Your rights and your listings
You keep the copyright in everything you submit. You grant TeachLessons a non-exclusive license to list and sell the resource, and you can remove a resource at any time. You confirm that you hold the rights to everything in it, including licenses for clip art and fonts.
We may decline a resource or remove one later, for example over quality or rights questions. Before anything goes live you receive the full seller agreement. Nothing here is legal, tax or financial advice, so read the agreement and decide for yourself.

Weighing where else to sell? Our comparison of your own website, a marketplace and TeachLessons sets out the trade-offs without hype.
When you're ready, send us your resources. Start with a handful you know well. We can't promise a number of sales, but we can promise a careful listing, a clear statement every month and no fees.
Frequently asked questions
What does it cost to join?
Nothing. There is no membership fee, annual fee, sign-up fee or per-resource transaction fee. The only deduction before the 70/30 split is the 3% payment processing cost.
Can I keep selling the same resources elsewhere?
Yes, as long as no other agreement you have signed stops you. We take a non-exclusive license, so your own shop and other marketplaces are fine.
I signed an exclusivity agreement for some resources. Can I list with you?
Not for the resources that agreement covers. Please honor it. You could still submit resources that fall outside it, but check the agreement's own wording first.
How long does the review take?
Our team reviews each submission and replies by email. We don't promise a fixed turnaround, and not every resource is accepted.
When do I get paid?
Monthly, for the previous calendar month's sales, with a statement listing each sale. Refunded orders are reversed.
