Why teachers use these

Why Cambridge teachers use these

Most AS classes are asked to cover a syllabus in fewer contact hours than the content really deserves, and the step students find hardest is never the knowledge. It is turning knowledge into a judgement a marker can reward. These units cover the content efficiently, then put the practice where the marks are, with answer keys written to show the reasoning behind a strong response instead of just the final figure or definition.

What's covered

What arrives in the download

Every unit is a taught sequence with the assessment practice already attached.

  • Four tiers of graduated practice
  • Editable PowerPoint teaching slides
  • Worked answer keys with reasoning
  • Command word practice tasks
  • Lesson plan with timings
  • Printable and digital versions

Make it work for everyone

Stretch, support and useful evidence

Use the lower tiers with students who arrived from a different system mid-course and the top tier as extension for those already writing sustained evaluation. Marking a set of scripts across a half term tells you which assessment objective the class keeps losing marks on, which is far more actionable than one mock percentage on a spreadsheet.

Frequently asked questions

Are these endorsed by Cambridge International?

No. Nothing here is produced, approved or endorsed by Cambridge Assessment International Education. The units are written to the concepts and skills the syllabuses cover and map onto a typical scheme of work. Always check the syllabus for your examination series, since content and paper structure are revised from time to time.

Can I use these with an AS only cohort?

Yes. The material is organised as topic units rather than as a fixed two-year march, so a class taking AS as a standalone qualification can use the same downloads and simply stop where your scheme of work stops. Extension tasks that suit the A Level year are marked as the highest tier.

How much editing do they need to fit my scheme of work?

Usually less than an hour. Files open in Word and PowerPoint, so departments typically reorder slides, drop in a local case study, and change the command word on a few questions to match the paper their students sit. The answer keys are text, not locked images, so they edit alongside.
