TeachLessons is an online store at teachlessons.us that sells English-language teaching resources. Buyers are teachers, schools and homeschool parents, mainly in the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore and at international schools. The seller program, launched in October 2026, lets teacher-authors offer their own worksheets, lesson plans, units, task cards and other classroom resources in that store and earn a share of every sale.
The program is new, and that matters when you decide where to put your work. What we can tell you exactly is how the money, the rights and the process work. Those are set out below and in the signed Seller Agreement.

How does the TeachLessons Seller Program work?
Joining takes one short form and one email. You send nothing until you have the documents in front of you.
- Apply. Fill in the short application form. It takes about five minutes and needs no files.
- Get the seller documents. We email you the Seller Agreement, the Seller Details & Payout Form, the Resource Rights Checklist, the Resource Submission List (an Excel sheet), the Seller Privacy Notice and a one-page guide, pre-filled where we already know your details.
- Sign and list. Sign the agreement by hand or with a drawn electronic signature in a PDF app such as Adobe Acrobat Reader Fill & Sign, fill in the forms and add one row per resource to the Resource Submission List.
- Send one email. Send the documents, your resource files, and previews and thumbnails as PNG or JPEG files from your own address to support@stifo.de. For several or large files, send one Google Drive, Dropbox or WeTransfer link that opens without a login. Up to 100 MB per resource.
- We set everything up. We confirm receipt within 2 business days, countersign the agreement and email you a copy. Then we write your product pages and build your author page and landing pages.
- Your resources go live. They go live as soon as they are set up. There is no extra review or approval round, so send only final versions.
- Get paid. Payouts arrive monthly by the 15th via PayPal in US dollars.
Later changes work the same way. To add, update, re-price or remove resources, email support@stifo.de. For new resources, add new rows to your Resource Submission List and attach or link the files. Our page on submitting many resources at once shows how to fill in the list.
How much do sellers earn per sale?
Sellers keep 70% of net revenue and TeachLessons keeps 30%. Net revenue is the price the customer actually paid for the resource, after any discount and without sales tax or VAT, minus a 3% payment processing cost. The formula is price x 0.97 x 0.70, which is 67.9% of the price.
| Price paid | You keep |
|---|---|
| $3.00 | $2.04 |
| $4.99 | $3.39 |
| $5.00 | $3.40 |
| $10.00 | $6.79 |
| $20.00 | $13.58 |
| $50.00 | $33.95 |
On a $10.00 sale the payment cost is $0.30, net revenue is $9.70, you keep $6.79 and TeachLessons keeps $2.91. You set your own prices in US dollars. Our optional suggestion is at least $4.99 for a single resource, but you decide. The payout calculator works out any price.
If an order is refunded, there is no payout for that sale, and an amount already paid is deducted from your next payout. We can't promise a number of sales or a level of income.

What are the rules of the TeachLessons Seller Program?
- You keep your copyright and all other rights. TeachLessons gets a non-exclusive, worldwide license for as long as the agreement runs.
- You guarantee your rights. You created the resource or hold all rights, fonts, clip art and images are licensed for commercial use in resources that are sold, and nothing infringes anyone else's rights.
- TeachLessons does not check resources for third-party rights. That is the seller's responsibility, and a claim caused by a seller's resource is the seller's responsibility too.
- School-suitable content only. Resources must suit schools and contain no personal data of real students.
- Buyers keep their license. Resources are sold with the standard TeachLessons buyer license, which buyers keep permanently, even after a resource is removed.
- Bundles only with your approval. Bundle revenue is shared in proportion to the regular prices of the resources inside.
- Store-wide sales. We may include your resources in store-wide sales. You can opt out by email at any time.
- Ending. Removal of a resource takes effect within 60 days of your email. Either side can end the agreement with 60 days' notice. Sales before removal are still paid.
We may take a resource offline immediately if we receive a complaint or have reason to believe it breaks rights or the law. The key terms in plain language cover each rule in more detail.
